Approximately 30,000 USD raised for partnership activities
Written by Maria Silkjær

In Relay Trust´s fundraising department we have just received funding for our partnership meetings with the Anglican Dioceses of Freetown, Bo and Guinea. The funding is coming from DMCDD (Danish Mission Council Development Desk) through LMF (Danish Teacher’s Mission Association). I am arranging the stay and the program for our partnership activities in Denmark, also preparing our workshop teachings and dialogue meetings. I am working on my presentation for them, with future options for more capacity building of their staff and organisations, and mission-Farming God’s Way projects, which has been a great success in Uganda and Togo and is now reaching and changing 30.000 people’s lives. I look forward to being the guide for the journey with our Relay Trust partners in Freetown, Bo and Guinea.

The partner meeting is expected to take place from 22nd to 27th February 2020.

Ready for Mount Zion
Written by Alex Bjergbæk Klausen

After more than a year’s preparation, we are now very close to begin the actual construction of Mount Zion. The Diocese of Freetown has setup a committee that will be responsible for the construction. Currently we are working on a so-called design-build model, which leaves the entire process with one contractor. The contractor has not been identified yet. It is our hope and prayer that we will begin the construction by the end of January 2020.

Recordings of Abundant life
Written by Alex Bjergbæk Klausen

In October we started the process of recording sessions from SEAN’s Abundant Life materials. The audio version is supposed to serve as a reading aid for those who are struggling to read and write. Relay Trust is working together with a team from Global Recordings Network Sierra Leone. They have already completed the English version. We are expecting to begin audio versions of the different native languages that are predominantly oral, so that people can receive discipleship training in their own mother tongues. This is an expensive and time-consuming process and therefore we are also hoping to raise support, so that we can continue the recordings together with Global Recordings Network and speed up the process.

Assistant to help with activities in Sierra Leone
Written by Alex Bjergbæk Klausen

An assistant has been employed by Freetown Diocese to help with Relay Trust related activities in Sierra Leone. Relay Trust is expanding its activities, and this requires more manpower to follow up on and supervise projects. Though the assistant is formally employed by the diocese, her salary is covered by Relay Trust. We are looking forward to welcome Mrs. Josephine Adjaji Cordilia Lewis in our team. She will begin from January 2020. In our next newsletter we will give a full presentation of her.

The Online Well – preparing for the launch in 2020
Written by Alex Bjergbæk Klausen

The great need to equip and empower churches in the many remote areas in Africa with quality training and access to e-libraries calls for combining an offline solution with a cloud-based synchronization. The beauty of our solution – the specially engineered Online Well boxes – is, that this makes it possible to stream content even while offline. This Online Well product development has been work in the background during the last few years. But now we are soon able to present this exciting product to a wide audience.

We intend to do a first presentation of our product solution in March and launch a pilot project with a few selected organisations during the second half of 2020.
