Welcome to Chris Hyliger, the Relay Trust’s new Regional Relationship Manager for Francophone Southern Africa

The Relay Trust is thrilled to announce the newest member of the team, Chris Hyliger.  Chris is joining the team to become the Regional Relationship Manager and Project Coordinator for Francophone Southern Africa.

Throughout his career, he has worked in a number of roles which have sought to break down barriers and see the removal of obstacles for people from all walks of life. Before joining The Relay Trust, he worked as the Diversity and Inclusion Programme Manager for Christians Against Poverty seeking to develop and implement a strategy to widen the access to the services they provide through the local church. Having operated in the role for 18 months, he felt it was the right time to transition and working alongside churches and church leaders who are passionate that people hear the good news in a culturally relevant and empowering way.

Having spent some time volunteering in East Africa in different capacities, he has always felt a pull towards the continent. The opportunity to marry his career and voluntary experience is one he is really looking forward to.  Alongside this he has studied a Masters in Peace & Development and he will bring this experience and skill set at a vital time for the Trust as it continues to expand its work.

Outside of work, he mostly spends his time with his wife, family and friends in Leeds, West Yorkshire where they live. He enjoys playing most sports and tries to keep fit mainly through playing football for his church’s 11-a-side football team.
